The life of First Congregational Church of La Grange centers around its ministries and outreach.  Here is a list of these groups, click on their links to find out more.

  • The Ministry of Education is responsible for education, youth and adults, the confirmation program, and the chruch's junior and senior high ministries currently known as POTTAs and Zackleys.
     
  • The Ministry of Missions (MOM) of the First Congregational Church of LaGrange mission is to accept the principle of stewardship and to foster and promote missionary and other benevolent programs and interests of the church.  (Click Here to Read More!)
     
  • The Ministry of Stewardship is responsible for the year-round education on being faithful stewards, the annual financial campaign, staffing various offices and ministries, managing the membership roll and establishment of memorials.
     
  • The Ministry of Nurture is responsible for creating fellowship opportunities within the church, visiting shut-ins, and hospitals and are also involved in memorial services, church growth, new members and delivery of Sunday flowers. (Click Here to Read More!) 
     
  • The Ministry of Operations consists of two components:  Property and Personnel.  Property is responsible for all of the finances of the church and care and control of the properties of the church.  Personnel is responsible is to manage all Personnel and Human Resource issues and opportunities.
     
  • The Ministry of Worship is responsible for assisting the ministers in administering sacraments, planning regular and special worship services, maintaining and changing the vestments according to the liturgical season and planning various enrichment events.  They also provide Sunday greeters, liturgists and altar flowers. 
     
  • Saturday Meals Program serves people of our community who need both food and a warm welcoming place to share it in.  Open each Saturday at 8:30 am for breakfast, this program provides nutritious breakfasts and lunches, as well as other community services such as legal counseling.
     
  • Wondrous Things is a wondrous gift shop showcasing a variety of beautiful and unique items, many of them handcrafted by disadvantaged people in the U.S. and Third World nations.
