CONFIRMATION: [God + People + Service]
Finding your path, one day at a time...Confirmation is not a destination, but a journey. Come journey with fellow youth at our church this year. Explore faith and friendship. Ask questions. Play. Pray. Serve. Grow. Know. Understand. Discover.
Confirmation at FCCLG is also called GPS which stands for God + People + Service. Just like a GPS device helps you find your way, so will confirmation. Together, we will look for God in the world around us. You will meet people of faith in our own congregations and learn about people of faith from many different times and places. You will also become more aware of the ways that you are a person of faith. We will go to worship services together, and do service projects together. You will be able to ask big questions like:
- who am I?
- what should I do with my life?
- who is God?
- what do I believe?
- what does it take to be a person of faith?
![]() | You’re not a kid anymore. Your life is in transition, from childhood to adulthood. And in the process, your faith is changing too. You have big questions, and are looking for something more. Confirmation is a time to look back at what has kept your faith rooted as a child, ask all of those big questions, and start talking about your faith in your own terms. Confirmation is about building relationships and making connections. Through confirmation, you are invited into relationship with God, with this church, and with people of faith around the world. |
