We will be reading: Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom,
Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants,a 2013
nonfiction book by Potawatomi professor Robin Wall Kimmerer.
Braiding Sweetgrassis a combination of memoir, science
writing and Indigenous American philosophy and history.
Kimmerer’s book “exploresreciprocal relationships between
humans and the land, with a focus on the role of plants and
botany in both Native American and Western traditions.” The
book received multiple awards and appeared on several
bestseller lists when first published. All readers are welcome! If
