From Ministry of Missions
Over 46,000 people have been killed in the continuing earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. The number of deaths will rise as more people are found in the rumble. The extent of the damage to lives, dwelling and infrastructure is unimaginable. The need for help will continue for a long time. If you would like to contribute, Ministry of Missions has put together a short list of organizations that are working in Turkey and Syria.
The Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) is a global medical relief organization that is working on the front lines of crisis relief in Syria and neighboring countries. Online donations can be made here: https://www.sams-usa.net/.
World Central Kitchen’s Relief Team has established operations across Turkey and through partners in Syria, delivering fresh meals to families displaced and emergency crews stretched thin due to the scale of the disaster. Donate at https://wck.org/.
Doctors Without Borders already had a presence in Syria so they have been a continual presence since the first earthquake. They are also working in Turkey. Donate here https://donate.doctorswithoutborders.org.
The United Church of Christ works through partner organizations such as the Middle East Council of Churches to bring aid to this region. To give through the UCC, click here https://support.ucc.org/donate-now, then select Turkey and Syria Aid Relief from the drop down menu.
